OPENING NIGHT | Thursday | 11/02 | 7:00p

Join us at REIFF headquarters (Maiden Alley Cinema) for an amazing LIVE sensory experience.  Scott Carney is a musician, filmmaker and Louisville native. He writes, records, produces and performs under the moniker Wax Fang, having released 4 studio LPs, one EP and a series of singles, as well as scoring the 150th episode of the cartoon comedy American Dad!  2017 has found him working with the Speed Art Museum, the Louisville Orchestra, Kentucky Shakespeare  and he is curently working on a top secret musical number for a show on Comedy Central set to air this Fall.

In January of this year, Scot was commissioned by the curator of cinema at the Speed Art Museum in Louisville to compose and perform live score to THE UNKNOWN to commemorate the museum's 90th birthday.  The score is written for a four piece ensemble featuring electric guitar, piano, accordian, trumpet and percussion in a variety of styles ranging from surf rock to classical to folk to experimental and spans the entire film and beyond.

 

DAY TWO | FRIDAY | 11/03 | 1:00p-9:00p

From 2:00p-7:00p there will be a Green Room available with snacks and a place to rest, mingle and take a break between films.  This is for FILMMAKERS, ALL ACCESS PASS HOLDERS and VOLUNTEERS and will be located at the Paducah Cigar Company (217 Broadway).

7:00PM @ MAIDEN ALLEY CINEMA - SPECIAL ENCORE PREMIERE OF THE ROTUNDA PROJECT WITH SPECIAL GUESTS FROM THIRD MAN BOOKS


Five writers of Third Man Books will perform live with works inspired by music prior to the screening of The Rotunda Project.  This locally made film was the brainchild of a local band called Fairseas and celebrates local music and collaboration.  

 

DAY THREE | SATURDAY | 11/04 | 9:00a-1:00a

9:00am-10:00am |  Come to a Paducah staple and meet the filmmakers in attendance.  Kirchhoff's and Etcetera Squared will offer the perfect background for starting the day with some great food and coffee.

Accepted films will be shown all day at 4 unique downtown venues.  Check Film Schedule for more details.  NOTE:  Films will not begin until 1:00pm at the Market House Studio Theatre.

From 2:00p-7:00p there will be a Green Room available with snacks and a place to rest, mingle and take a break between films.  This is for FILMMAKERS, ALL ACCESS PASS HOLDERS and VOLUNTEERS and will be located at the Paducah Cigar Company (217 Broadway).

At 7:00pm we will have the OFFICIAL AWARDS PRESENTATION at Maiden Alley Cinema.  Directly following we will head to the Luther Carson Center Terrace for an after party celebrating all the filmmakers who were accepted to REIFF!

 

DAY FOUR  |  SUNDAY  |  11/05  |  1:00p-7:00p

From 2:00p-5:00p there will be a Green Room available with snacks and a place to rest, mingle and take a break between films.  This is for FILMMAKERS, ALL ACCESS PASS HOLDERS and VOLUNTEERS and will be located at the Paducah Cigar Company (217 Broadway).

At 5:00p we will close the festival with a sampling of the award winning films and show the Best of the Fest winner.
